Meet our Front Office & Volunteer Staff

Greg Morrison

Greg, the 2013 WMBL Executive of the Year, became owner of the Medicine Hat Mavericks in 2009. His ''hands on approach'' to team management has proven beneficial to the resurgence of the WMBL in Medicine Hat. Most notably, fan attendance averages doubled under his first season as owner, and the''Source 1 Realty Party Patio'' has been a hit since it''s construction in May 2009.

Retired in 2006 from 12 seasons as a professional baseball player, Greg has played in both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays organizations. In 2005, he reached career milestones 1000 hits and 100 homeruns as a professional. He played for both the Jr. and Sr. Canadian National Team a combined 7 times including the bronze medal "Cinderella Story" team of the 1999 Pan-Am Games. In 2000, as part of Team Canada at the World Cup Qualifier in Panama he led the tournament in RBI, and earned himself a spot on the "All-World" team.

Greg uses his experience as an athlete to compliment his present career in sport performance and injury rehabilitation. He is the owner of Morrison Health - Injury & Sport Therapy which operates in Medicine Hat, AB, CAN.

Greg attributes the success of the Mavericks to the great support offered by the many businesses that sponsor the team, the host families who provide a summer home for the Mavericks players, the fans who cheer the team on through thick and thin, rain or shine and his ever supportive family, volunteers and staff, who take on countless tasks to ensure there is a game between the lines every summer in Medicine Hat
