We call Athletic Park our home, playing 24 home games beginning the end of May and concluding the middle of August (with potential of 6 additional home games due to playoffs). If you choose to advertise at our stadium (fixed signage on outfield or concourse), you will also be provided exposure to approximately 70 high school, American Legion and Men's League baseball games.
Mavericks Baseball provides fans affordable summer entertainment, as well as local businesses an opportunity to demonstrate their community support with emotionally charged exposures to their goods & services.
The Mavericks are a locally owned team entering its eighth season in the Western Major Baseball League (WMBL). Our fan base includes all ages and demographics from Medicine Hat and surrounding area. Our attendance last season ranged from 600 to 1,400 fans per game. This was double the average from 2008 and we plan to record even higher attendance records in 2010!
Last season also saw the construction of the Mavericks Party Patio. Selling out for the last 25 consecutive games of the 2009 season, the patio provided corporate and family outings with a chance to cheer on the Mav's at the 'ol ball park in their own private section at field level.
The Mavericks Baseball Club promotes all levels of baseball development in Medicine Hat, providing baseball camps for youth players looking to develop their skills. We believe that mentoring young athletes in sport helps develop our local baseball players but more importantly develop good citizens.
It is the Mavericks’ goal to offer fans the highest quality of baseball that families can enjoy as they cheer on their favourite players and team.
